Prelude - What comes together.
The Gathering is a story of what we carry, what we cultivate, and what we bring together.ย ย
/Synopsis
Things are gathered and kept for another day, inherited cloths, objects, memories, hopes and dreams. Some are stored away, waiting for the moment when they can be brought into the open again.
But gathering is not only about what we keep. It is also about what we sow, what we grow and what finds a way to bloom.
A seed becomes a harvest. A bloom emerges beyond the boundaries of where it was planted. Season by season, these fragments come together, different in shape, weight and purpose, until they form an abundance meant not to be stored, but shared.
The Gathering is an invitation to bring everything into the open: what has been inherited, what has been sown, what has bloomed, and what is still becoming.
The Character: The Sower, who went out to sow, is a metaphor of all the shapes we've been collating, seeding into each and every design while developing, bringing different shapes together in order to bloom forth a textile piece made for sharing.ย

I spent most of my childhood watching my grandmother, My mother all the elders I knew, collecting objects they love just to place them in covered cabinets, old Kists, old drawers anything that could carefully store, and safely hold these things they loved. They came out on Sundays, and some weekend gatherings, all these times they acted as objects that were never really held, or enjoyed. So, they gathered dust always waiting for one day, some day, another day when a gathering could arise. From this memory I realised that, that was not how I want to live my life, with the objects and pieces I love. So let them be worn and torn, let them be marked with age, chipped away, embracing all the perfect imperfections of objects that are always held, present in the moment and making memories along side the joy ofย every single gathering.
